Wednesday
Today was our production day, where we get to learn about the set and other aspects of theatre involving the stage. I thought it was cool knowing that every play has a frame, which I never knew before, it made sense when you put a frame as where does the play start and where does it end, and what places do you involve in the set. And sometimes this gets tricky because there are different types of stages. Our stage is a proscenium stage, where it practically has the frame already made for you, when you look at this stage from the audience, it almost looks like a picture frame. Also another type of stage is the thrust stage. This is where there is one back wall, and the stage comes out, and there is audience seating on all three sides. Its pretty cool to learn about production because sometimes you get into the habit of thinking theatre is all about the acting, this is a good wake up call.
